A breeding calculator you can trust after 1.0
The 1.0 update rewrote Palworld's breeding table β most pre-1.0 combos now hatch something different. This calculator runs on data extracted directly from the 1.0 game files: pick the Pal you want and get every parent combination ranked by how easy the parents are to obtain, or select two parents to see exactly what their egg hatches into.
Palworld 1.0 (released July 10, 2026) added 72 new Pals and rewrote the entire breeding result table. Old spreadsheets and pre-1.0 calculators now give wrong answers β the classic Penking + Bushi = Anubis recipe, for example, now produces Sibelyx.
That's why every result here comes from a versioned dataset extracted straight from the current game files. The calculator is free, runs entirely in your browser, and each of the 299 Pals has its own page with every combination that produces it β see the data changelog for what's verified and what's still pending.
How breeding works in Palworld 1.0
The breeding loop
Build a Breeding Farm, assign one male and one female Pal, and keep cake stocked β no cake, no egg. The egg's species depends only on the parent combination; hatch it in an incubator and the baby joins your team at level 1.
Breed for passive skills
Offspring inherit up to four passives drawn from both parents' pool, so you can stack traits like Artisan, Serious and Lucky onto one Pal. Inheritance is random β serious breeders hatch dozens of eggs per target.
Special rules in 1.0
Legendaries and former unique-combo Pals (Orserk, Grizzbolt, Lyleen, Falerisβ¦) now breed same-species only. And exactly one pair is gender-dependent: Katress β + Wixen β gives Katress Ignis β reversed, Wixen Noct.
New: egg mutation
Every bred egg has a small chance (~1% base, ~3% with premium cake) to hatch a mutated Pal with boosted stats and exclusive passives. Use our mutation calculator to estimate how many eggs you'll need.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this breeding calculator updated for Palworld 1.0?
Yes. The dataset is extracted from the 1.0 game files (299 Pals, all 44,850 pair results) β not carried over from pre-release spreadsheets. The data version and last update date are shown on the calculator, and the changelog lists what's verified.
How does breeding work in Palworld 1.0?
Place a male and a female Pal in the breeding farm with cake, and the egg's species is determined by the parent combination. The 1.0 update revised the result table, so use current data β most old combos changed.
Did breeding combos change in the 1.0 update?
Yes, extensively. Old recipes like Penking + Bushi = Anubis no longer work (that pair now gives Sibelyx), and former unique-combo Pals such as Orserk, Grizzbolt, Lyleen and Faleris can now only be bred from two parents of the same species.
How do I breed legendary Pals like Jetragon?
Legendaries β Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius, Necromus and others β can only be bred from two parents of the same species. Catch a male and a female first, then breed them for offspring with better passive skills.
What is egg mutation in 1.0?
A new mechanic: every bred egg has a small chance (community-estimated ~1%, ~3% with premium cake) to hatch a mutated Pal with higher stats and exclusive passives. Use our mutation calculator to estimate how many eggs you need.
Why do parent genders matter for Katress and Wixen?
It's the only gender-specific pair in 1.0: female Katress + male Wixen produces Katress Ignis, while male Katress + female Wixen produces Wixen Noct. The calculator flags this combo automatically.
What do I need before I can breed Pals?
You need a Breeding Farm at your base, one male and one female Pal assigned to it, and cake in the farm's chest. Cake is baked from flour, red berries, milk, eggs and honey β set up berry plantations, a mill and ranch Pals so you can produce it in bulk.
Do parent genders matter for normal combos?
No. Apart from the single Katress/Wixen exception, any male + female pairing of the two species works β the offspring species is the same regardless of which parent is which gender.
How does passive skill inheritance work?
The offspring can inherit up to four passive skills drawn from the combined pool of both parents' passives. Which ones pass down is random, so breeders hatch many eggs to land the exact combination they want β that's also more chances at a 1.0 mutation.
How can I speed up breeding and hatching?
Assign a Pal with the new Babysitter passive to boost breeding and hatching speed, keep Dynamoff at your base to cut egg incubation time, and upgrade your hatchery. Batch-hatching with these bonuses makes passive hunting and mutation farming dramatically faster.
